My Role

As Creative Director, I led both the experiential content strategy and the creative direction of the activation. My role included developing the narrative framework, defining the visitor journey, directing the AI photobooth experience, guiding UI/UX design, reviewing content production, and aligning the architectural expression with Wio's brand identity to ensure a cohesive end-to-end experience.

The architectural concept was inspired by Wio's digital-first identity, transforming the brand experience into a physical environment that felt modern, social, and approachable. Rather than following traditional banking exhibition aesthetics, the design embraced soft curves, illuminated portals, and mobile-inspired visual language to create a space that resonated with a younger, digitally connected audience.

Every architectural element was designed to support interaction and content creation. The circular canopy established a strong visual landmark, while the illuminated frames and digital surfaces reinforced the feeling of stepping inside the Wio ecosystem. The result was a highly visible activation that blended technology, lifestyle, and banking into a single immersive experience.

The experience was designed around a simple concept: turning visitors into creators. Through an AI powered photobooth journey, guests generated personalised Wio branded portraits inspired by their lifestyle, ambitions, and future aspirations.

The journey began with a high impact idle experience that attracted visitors through motion led storytelling and Wio's distinctive visual identity. Once engaged, users moved through a carefully crafted content flow, selecting a themed background, capturing a selfie, experiencing a bespoke AI transformation sequence, and receiving a personalised digital portrait ready for sharing.

By connecting the physical architecture, interactive touchscreen, AI generation process, and surrounding LED content into one unified experience, the activation created a seamless blend of technology, creativity, and brand storytelling that reflected Wio's vision of modern digital banking.

The background logic was built around three user mindsets, each connected to Wio’s core financial positioning.

Personal: “Your Financial Freedom Moment.”

Business: “Build & Scale Your Venture.”

Investment: “Grow Your Money Smarter.”

To expand the visual direction, the background routes were also explored through three creative treatments: Cinematic, Lifestyle, and Hero.

Cinematic creates a polished, premium AI portrait direction. Lifestyle brings a softer and more human feel built around everyday ambition. Hero makes the visitor feel like the central figure in their own financial future.

Additional visual routes included an Emirates Towers background, a no filter city based look, and a stylised Wio visual world.

Approved Concept, Moodboard & User Journey

Concept 02 was approved as the final direction due to its strong alignment with Wio's visual identity and digital ecosystem. The minimalist design approach, combined with intuitive user interactions and contemporary aesthetics, created a seamless experience that felt both innovative and unmistakably Wio. ✨

The client expressed strong satisfaction with the creative direction, strategic thinking, and final execution of the project. Through close collaboration, stakeholder alignment, and an iterative design process, the final experience successfully met both business and visitor engagement objectives while delivering a memorable brand experience.
